Saskatchewan will again join in the Christmas Lights Across Canada celebration held at the Legislative Building in Regina on Thursday, December 3rd, 2009. Through this program, lights are turned on at the same time at the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa and the Legislative Buildings of most provincial and territorial capitals. The evening commences at 6:30 p.m. with a visit from Santa Claus and his reindeer. At 6:55 pm, the lights will be turned on. Following the outdoor ceremony, the Legislative Building will be open for refreshments, carolling, and other activities. This family-oriented event is free.
